Making Comparisons in Tamil

The construction for a comparative sentence is:
A is ____ than B. = A B+ஐ  விட _____.

Examples (all from the Duke pdf):
Kumar is taller than Mukil = குமார் முகிலை விட உயரமாக இருக்கிறான்.
I am more beautiful than you. = நான் உன்னை விட அழகாக இருக்கிறேன்.
His shirt is more black than my shirt. = அவனுடைய சட்டை என் சட்டையை விட கருப்பாக இருக்கிறது.

This one is a little less straightforward:
தமிழரின் தாயகங்களில் நகரங்களை விட கிராமங்கள் அதிகம்.
In the Tamil's homeland, there are more villages than bigger cities.
